Appliances that make cooking harder rather than easier, spices long past their date, drawers that will not close, boards and bags you have no place for?
This workshop applies the Japanese KonMari® method to the liveliest space in the home. The kitchen is the heart of the home, and at the same time it is often a source of stress and clutter. Here we turn it into a space that works and that makes everyday life easier.
The workshop stands on its own, and it is also the fourth of six themes that follow the order of the KonMari® method. I hold it in person in Zagreb or online, in Croatian or English.
What you discover at the workshop
By the end of the workshop you know:
- how to declutter the kitchen, from the smallest items to the largest appliances
- how to organize the kitchen by zones: preparation, cooking and storing things
- how to make the most of the space you have
- how to set up a kitchen you enjoy preparing food in
- how to keep the kitchen in order through everyday use
What the workshop looks like
Each workshop has a theory part, practical examples and time for questions and answers. It runs for about two hours, with a warm drink and a snack.
Attendance is limited to fifteen people, because in a smaller group everyone gets to ask their question and describe their own space. Anyone who wants to go further can arrange an individual session afterwards.
The series of six workshops
You can attend this workshop on its own or as part of the series of six thematic KonMari® workshops. Each one takes a different part of the home, the workspace and everyday life, and together they follow the order of the method:
