When space becomes yours
The first workshop of the series Free your space, free yourself — the foundations of the KonMari® method: how to declutter and organize at home and at work.
The foundations of the KonMari® method: how to declutter and organize at home and at work
Do you feel overwhelmed in your own home? Things keep piling up and you are not sure where to begin. Or you tidy regularly, and the clutter comes back every time.
This workshop introduces you to the Japanese KonMari® method created by Marie Kondo. It is for anyone who wants to understand the method as a whole and to begin a change that stays, at home and at work.
The workshop stands on its own, and it is also the first of six themes that together follow the order of the KonMari® method. I hold it in person in Zagreb or online, in Croatian or English.
What you discover at the workshop
By the end of the workshop you know:
- what the KonMari® method is and how it works
- how you decide what to keep and what to let go
- why we declutter by category rather than room by room
- how to organize your space once the excess is gone
- how to keep order at home and at work in the long run
What the workshop looks like
Each workshop has a theory part, practical examples and time for questions and answers. It runs for about two hours, with a warm drink and a snack.
Attendance is limited to fifteen people, because in a smaller group everyone gets to ask their question and describe their own space. Anyone who wants to go further can arrange an individual session afterwards.
The series of six workshops
You can attend this workshop on its own or as part of the series of six thematic KonMari® workshops. Each one takes a different part of the home, the workspace and everyday life, and together they follow the order of the method:
- When space becomes yours — the foundations and the home as a whole (this workshop)
- Clothes that carry you — clothing and the wardrobe
- Pages as a trace of time — books and papers
- A kitchen that feeds the soul — the kitchen and everything in it
- The maze of everyday life — komono, the miscellaneous items
- Memories that carry a story — sentimental items
Schedule
There is no scheduled date for this workshop at the moment. Get in touch and I will let you know as soon as new dates open, and if you gather your own group, we arrange the workshop whenever it suits you.
